The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support young people referred by local authorities and schools, requiring level of support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching, tutoring, or mentoring
* Provide the young person with holistic and engaging sessions meeting their needs and advancing their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the young person's progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QLTS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work; remote works possible
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Worker contract; short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No set amount of work or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work you do for us
* Not a self-employed position
