As part of the Survey Solutions Group, SurvaTec is hiring for a Utility Surveyor to join the team in Essex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for utility surveying, data collection, and all associated reporting. They will undertake utility mapping surveys to PAS128 standards to provide high-quality survey data, while maintaining safe working practices, following surveying processes, and client instructions. Delivery of survey outcomes to high standards of accuracy within specified timescales is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Review Scope of Work from the SMT prior to each site mobilisation to ensure correct and complete delivery of works.
2. Be responsible for the collection of survey data on site, prompt return, and download of data to the office for post-processing and project delivery.
3. Work within industry guidelines and client specifications.
4. Communicate effectively with other survey operatives on site and in the office.
5. Collaborate with the SMT to ensure timely delivery of projects according to standards, format, and client specifications.
6. Complete and follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and all Health and Safety reporting guidelines.
7. Adhere to all legislative requirements on site.
8. Provide feedback to the SMT regarding progress, delivery, and opportunities for improvement.
9. Participate in the development of equipment, procedures, or new software.
10. Maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and availability.
11. Perform duties in other areas of the company as required.
Key Competencies:
1. Experience with asset location surveying equipment, including Electro-magnetic and GPR (Post Processed).
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and IT skills.
3. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
4. Exceptional attention to detail.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Professional telephone manner.
7. Good organizational skills.
8. Valid driving license.
