Overview
As a result of sustained growth and success, and a host of award wins, we are looking to expand our actuarial consulting and analyst teams in our London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Ipswich offices. If you are experienced in the UK Defined Benefit/Final Salary Pension field, join our team and enjoy an encouraging and collaborative environment, with ample opportunities for career growth and diverse client projects. We support achieving a fully-qualified Actuary status. If you are not interested in pursuing additional exams, that is not a prerequisite. We offer mentorship and resources to help you acquire a Scheme Actuary certificate.
You will take an active role in leading a portfolio of clients and serving as a client manager for some of them. We are open to flexible and part-time working requests and will be as accommodating as possible.
How you'll make an impact
Working within an established team of qualified and part-qualified actuaries, you will act as an actuarial assistant for a portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Handling the preparation of valuations and cost estimates
2. Undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17, IAS19, USGAAP)
3. Coordinating data collection, including editing and testing data received from clients
4. Undertaking and checking all aspects of actuarial work related to pension schemes
5. Preparing letters, reports, and other client materials
6. Checking day-to-day individual calculations as requested
7. Participating in internal projects and handling special assignments as needed
8. Assisting scheme consultants with pension scheme consultancy, including attending client/trustee meetings
9. Providing leadership, feedback, and training to actuarial analysts
About You
We are eager to connect with hardworking individuals holding a degree in numerical or mathematics fields, progressing in their actuarial exams.
