Your Role
The Fitter role is an integral element of the day to day operational functionality delivering objectives and outputs efficiently and effectively within Kuehne+Nagel Technical services.
Your Responsibilities
* Commissioning and annual servicing of Fire Extinguisher held in stock
* Servicing a wide variety of equipment; Irons, Lighting units, Power transformers, cabling
* Service and repairs of Kayak trailers
* Safe use of tooling held within the department
* Servicing of heating systems and fuel containers
* Carry out servicing work and reports as required in accordance with the relevant technical publications for: MoD & Loan Pool stocks
* Use trade skills and qualifications in conjunction with current technical documents to carry out servicing and repair to MoD stock
* Responsible for ensuring that serviceable stock is available for MoD customers within time constraints/KPI’s
* Work to be planned for priority items on a daily basis overall section work to be planned on a weekly basis
* Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
Your Skills and Experiences
* Experience of working to agreed targets
* PC literate
* MHE licence (where applicable)
* Recognised Engineering Qualifications (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ2 or equivalent)
* Ability to work individually or as part of a team
* Reliable
* Good Communication skills
* Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
* High attention to detail
* Effective decision maker
