Job Summary
The Breakfast Food and Beverage Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service during breakfast service, ensuring that guests have a positive start to their day. This role involves preparing the dining area, serving food and beverages efficiently and courteously, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and approachable manner, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for all guests. The hours of work for this role is Monday-Friday with occasional weekend availability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare the breakfast area prior to service, including setting up tables, stocking buffet stations, and ensuring all food and beverage items are available.
* Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist them with seating and menu options as required.
* Serve food and beverages promptly, efficiently, and in accordance with service standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining and buffet areas, ensuring tables are cleared and reset quickly.
* Monitor buffet stock and replenish items as needed throughout service.
* Handle guest inquiries, requests, or complaints politely and effectively, escalating issues where necessary.
* Follow all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards and allergen procedures.
* Assist with the cleaning and closing of the breakfast area at the end of service.
* Cooperate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food service and clear communication.
* Support other areas of the food and beverage department as needed.
