Assistant Project Manager - Water Industry Mechanical or Civil Engineering Background A leading tier-1 contractor delivering complex installation projects in the water industry is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to assist with the delivery of their Severn Trent framework. Duties for Assistant Project Manager: * Project program compliance and updating (with planners) * Business development and client liaising * Monitoring and periodic review of project commercial performance (with commercial colleagues) * Tasking, productivity, and standards compliance * Project risk and change identification/reporting * Project design liaison, review, and updating (with designers) * Safe delivery of projects to time, cost, and quality * Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements * Management and monitoring of approved specialist sub-contractors and wider supply chain partners * Co-ordination and liaison with key project stakeholders (internal & external) * Management of operational assets prior to client hand-over Candidate Description * Will have an engineering background with aligned academic and training qualifications Requirements for Assistant Project Manager * Previous demonstrable experience in a similar MEICA / Civil Engineering management role * Computer literate, particularly with MS Office applications is essential * CITB (SMSTS) and/or CSCS qualified for managing safely * Ability to work to target dates across multiple projects, whilst maintaining output and timescale requirements * Hold a valid full UK driving license * Eligible to work in the UK GRS (Gearing Recruitment Solutions) operates across the following sectors, frameworks and industries:- water treatment, clean water, wastewater, waste water, wwtw, wtw, thames water, anglian water, cambridge water, essex water, ses water, southern water, southeast water, amp 6, amp 7, scottish water, sutton and east surrey water, wessex water, south west water, severn trent water, welsh water, united utilities, yorkshire water, STW, sludge, treatment works, chemical dosing, sewage, pumping station, booster station, paper mill, brewery, food processing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, process engineering
