Job Summary
Reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager CAMO/145 the UK Deputy S&CM Part CAMO/145’s primary function is to perform audit, inspections and support investigations of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation and Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation to a scope and depth required by NHV standards and CAA regulations.
Travel to NHV bases and suppliers located in the UK and Europe will be required.
Respons. & areas
· Audit, inspection and investigation planning, performance, and recording.
· Construction and updating of check lists relevant to the audit area to consider current regulatory requirements, internal rules, results of Key Performance Indicators and Safety Performance indicators, and global industry trends and best practice,
· Audit, inspection and investigation execution to the standards specified in the Company CMM and SMM Manuals.
· Raising and tracking any associated non-compliance reports and safety occurrences to satisfactory closure.
· Assisting the Safety and Compliance Manager CAMO/145 with the construction of the annual CAMO and 145 audit plans and management of change as required.
· Supporting the technical aspects of safety investigations.
· Monitoring relevant regulatory material for changes and updates.
· Supporting the administration of the Company Certifying Staff authorisation system.
· Maintenance and update of internal safety and compliance documentation.
Experience
• Aerospace Engineering degree or hold/have held Part 66 License, preferably in category B1.3.
• Qualified as a lead auditor to IRQA standard or equivalent.
• 3 years previous experience as a lead auditor in a Compliance Monitoring role.
• 5 years of practical experience in an aircraft maintenance or continuing airworthiness management environment or both.
• Extensive knowledge of ICAO standards, and UK regulatory requirements for the provision of continuing airworthiness.
• Practical experience and expertise in investigation techniques and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Human factors and human performance limitation in aviation.
• Experience in the use of Q-Pulse or similar software is desirable but not essential.
