Finance Assistant (term time)
Location – East Sussex
Salary – £26,000 - £28,000
About the company:
Working within an education organisation, based in East Sussex. Covering the credit control function, processing purchase 7 sales ledger invoices, among other ad hoc finance tasks. This is a term time role, working 41 weeks out of 52.
Responsibilities include:
* Process purchase orders, invoices and payments in line with Trust procedures.
* Assist with maintaining accurate financial records using academy systems
* Support the preparation of BACS payment runs and associated financial documentation.
* Assist with income collection, including cash handling, banking preparation and recording.
* Assist with raising sales invoices and monitoring income received.
* Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes as directed.
* Support routine reconciliations
Skills/Qualifications required:
* Good numeracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel (or equivalent), with basic data handling and
* spreadsheet skills.
* Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
