Position: Vehicle Technician
Location: Charles Hurst Portadown, Vauxhall & Changan.
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:15–5pm, Friday 8:30–4pm, Saturday 9–1pm on a rota basis (1 in 4).
Salary: OTE up to £42,600 (including £34,000 basic + £6,600 bonus potential).
We invite you to join our fantastic workshop in Portadown. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will play a vital role carrying out vehicle health checks, conducting services, and completing repairs to the highest standards. This role is an opportunity to develop within the rapidly growing electric and hybrid market, especially as we welcome the brand Changan to the UK.
Responsibilities
* Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
* Conduct vehicle services in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines and customer requests
* Carry out any additional repairs authorised by the customer
* Perform warranty repairs per manufacturer guidelines, ensuring proper write‑ups
* Take the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to verify faults are rectified
* Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
* Motor industry experience (brand or non‑brand) is required
* Full and valid driving licence
* Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, ambitious, eager to learn, and capable of upholding high standards in all vehicle work performed
