About this Role

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy is located on Ling Forest Road in Mansfield, is a Catholic School within the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. The school emphasises its mission of "Belonging, Sharing and Caring", creating an environment where every child is valued as a child of God and encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally. Pupils, staff, families, and governors work closely together to support a positive learning experience, and the school is recognised for its warm, inclusive community and happy, confident learners.

We are looking for an inspiring Deputy Headteacher to help drive forward and further shape our vision for the school's future development. You will be an active member of the school community who will lead, support, and encourage collaboration to help the school meet and exceed its objectives. This role is a Reserved position which means that Applicants must be practising Catholics. Please see the accompanying NRCDES document "Catholic School and the Definition of a Practising Catholic" with a strong faith commitment and a clear vision for Catholic Education.

You will join our team of enthusiastic and dedicated staff, supportive parents and a governing body who work in partnership to ensure that each child is happy, safe, supported and encouraged in all they do.

This is a permanent role starting from September 2026.


You will:

* Be a practising Catholic with a strong faith commitment and a clear vision for Catholic Education.
* Ensure that the example and teachings of Jesus Christ are at the centre of all that we do.
* Placesafeguarding at the heart of the school.
* Have a proventrack records of successful leadership, management and school improvement.
* Have the visionand energy to initiate, lead and manage strategies to build on the currentsuccesses and achievements of the school.
* Be passionateabout ensuring that each pupil fulfils their unique potential.
* Be a confident,positive and visible leader with the ability to build relationships with staff,pupils, parents, Governors, Directors and others working in the CMAT and a widevariety of external partners.
* Constantly belooking ahead, working closely with the CMAT, Governors and the SLT to developa compelling faith centered vision for the school that acts as the focus of allactivity and drives improvement.
* Be able to buildsuccessful teams and work collaboratively with others to achieve success.
* Be able torespond and adapt effectively to changing circumstances, maintaining highlevels of performance.
* Actively listenand effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences.
