EVS Team Lead - (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm) At Croasdaile Village, we value and recognize the importance of supporting, training and retraining our staff. SUMMARY Participates in the directing and coordinating of the environmental services program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the community/facility by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. a) Assist in training new housekeepers and custodians to clean rooms and halls in cottages, apartments, village commons, nursing home, assisted living and dementia care. b) Leads the Annual Cleaning Team and insures quality cleaning and inspections prior to the team leaving resident homes. c) Conducts individual housekeeping, custodian, and common area inspections. d) Assist the Environmental Supervisory Team in establishing standards and procedures for work of housekeeping and custodial staff. Coordinates and plans work assignments to insure adequate service. e) Submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment and reallocation of space and participates in reassigning of duties and tasks. f) Conducts periodic inventories of supplies and equipment. g) Helps to investigate new and improved cleaning equipment and chemicals. h) Works with the Environmental Services Manager and Director to facilitate annual cleanings and other designated projects within the community. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to red and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate precisely, using appropriate grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to listen carefully and comprehend resident concerns. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employee of the organization. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions or requests furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations.
