Role
A Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse post has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Critical Care nurse within the Adult Critical Care Unit in Glangwili General Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a high level of patient care at all times throughout the unit; actively involved in and supervising patients' care.
* Manage planned and unplanned admissions and ensure correct staffing levels.
* Lead the Unit in the absence of Senior Sisters and be involved in coaching and developing more junior team members.
Welsh language
The Health Board is committed to supporting bilingualism; applications from Welsh speakers are welcome. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. Qualifications and expectations
* Significant experience in critical care nursing.
* Evidence of leading a specialist nursing team.
* Postgraduate critical care qualification.
* Strong teamwork, clear communication, and a calm approach to problem solving.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and learning to maintain high standards of care.
* Patient-centred approach with an organised and professional department.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
