Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
* Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
* Repair or replace defective parts and carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
* Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure roadworthiness.
* Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
* Follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed and complete documentation to the required standard.
Essential Skills
* A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in the automotive industry.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a busy team.
* Strong communication skills and good attention to detail.
* Ability to work to high standards and deadlines with a proactive approach.
* Ability to follow written and spoken instructions accurately.
* Full driving licence.
Day-to-day duties
* Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
* Inspecting and diagnosing vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment.
* Repairing or replacing parts as needed and performing DVSA testing if authorised.
* Maintaining equipment and tools and completing all necessary documentation.
