We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher (0.6 FTE) to join our team from September 2026 on a one-year fixed-term contract. The role is based in KS2 and would be worked across 5 mornings. Strong links with DSAT, providing access to high-quality, trust-wide CPL and professional development A school with excellent behaviour and consistent routines, allowing teachers to focus on teaching A clear and supportive mastery approach to teaching and learning Enthusiastic, engaged pupils who are eager to learn A supportive and collaborative staff team A culture of continuous improvement and professional growth What We’re Looking For We are looking for a teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or is on track to achieve it) Has a secure understanding of the primary curriculum, including phonics Is committed to mastery approaches, ensuring all pupils achieve success The ability to plan and deliver well-structured lessons with clear progression across the primary phase Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and address misconceptions Has strong behaviour management and high expectations for all pupils Can adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families Is reflective, organised and committed to ongoing professional development What the Role Involves Planning and delivering high-quality lessons using a mastery approach (clear modelling, guided practice and independent application) Using effective questioning to check understanding and address misconceptions in the moment Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress to inform next steps Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school and wider trust Contributing to the wider life of the school community Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement and presentation Visit us Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.
