This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller to join the UK’s leading Accident and Collision Repair specialist at our busy Torbay site.
Our Bodyshop is a fast-paced, dynamic environment with plenty of opportunity to make an impact and apply your skills. As Workshop Controller, you will organise the Bodyshop by monitoring job progress, conducting daily team meetings, and reporting any unexpected delays to the General Manager. You will ensure tools and equipment are maintained, waste is controlled, and security of the site is upheld. You will oversee job cards, shop floor procedures, and liaise closely with technicians and management to address any quality issues. Above all, you’ll ensure the highest technical and service standards are consistently met.
In addition to your core responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to take on Assistant Manager duties, supporting the General Manager and stepping into leadership responsibilities as required, with a clear path to progress into a future managerial role.
About you You’ll ideally hold NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or ATA qualifications, with a strong Bodyshop background as a Controller, Workshop Manager, or Quality Controller. You’ll be experienced in fast-paced environments, confident working within job time structures, and skilled at prioritising and planning effectively. With a hands-on, can-do approach, you’ll get involved across the business, supporting colleagues and ensuring a seamless customer experience. A full UK/EU driving licence is essential.
