Job Description: HR Data & Insights Manager
Location: Manchester or Leeds (Hybrid, 2-3 days in office)
A leading professional services firm is looking for an experienced HR Data & Insights Manager to join their growing people analytics team. This is a brand new position introduced in the organisation to build on the existing leadership infrastructure.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be managing a small team of analysts, shaping the data strategy, and delivering insights that directly support senior decision-makers. The team has already made big strides in moving from spreadsheets to Power BI, and the business is continuing to invest in innovation; including in-house tech, AI and automation capabilities.

What you’ll be doing
Leading and supporting a team of three HR data analysts
Building dashboards, reports and visualisations in Power BI
Presenting data-driven insights to senior stakeholders and boards
Collaborating with the systems team to ensure integrated, accurate reporting
Driving forward data governance, quality, and continuous improvement
Acting as the go-to for all things HR data, analytics and insight
What we’re looking for
Proven experience managing or mentoring analysts
Excellent Power BI and Excel skills
Strong analytical capability and a data-led mindset
Confident communicator with experience presenting insights to non-technical audiences
Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities
Solution-focused, curious, and collaborative
Nice to have
Experience in HR, legal or professional services
Familiarity with tools like Workday, PowerApps
Experience using advanced data analytics tools like R
