We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chef to join our team at our welcoming and well-regarded residential care home. This is a vital role in helping us provide nutritious, delicious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our elderly residents. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve well-balanced, home-cooked meals in line with residents’ dietary requirements (including soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals, etc.) * Create weekly menus with variety, nutritional value, and resident input in mind * Ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety are maintained in the kitchen * Order and manage stock effectively, keeping within budget * Liaise with care staff to accommodate individual meal plans or preferences * Maintain kitchen cleanliness to meet CQC and Environmental Health standards What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience as a Chef, ideally in a care setting or similar environment * A genuine passion for food and for improving the quality of life for older people * Strong knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and dietary requirements * Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain) * Good communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude What We Offer: * Friendly and supportive working environment * Fixed daytime shifts – no split shifts or late nights! * Meals provided on shift * Ongoing training and development opportunities
