We are looking for a talented and experienced Internal Engagement & Communications Manager to lead employee engagement initiatives across SYNLAB UK & Ireland.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will lead and implement employee engagement initiatives that support organisational transformation, TUPE processes, and reward & recognition campaigns, with a focus on SYNLABs operations in Essex and Manchester.
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
Lead the design and delivery of internal communication and engagement plans aligned with SYNLABs five-year strategy.
Develop and execute communication strategies around employee reward, recognition, consultation, and engagement activities.
Collaborate with HR, transformation teams, clinical leads, and partner Trusts to ensure consistent, tailored messaging.
Serve as a DEI ambassador and role model for SYNLABs values and behaviours.
Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement, at manager level or above.
Experience working with HR and senior stakeholders on TUPE, consultation, or workforce transformation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
Professional membership (e.g. IOIC or CIPR).
Experience in pathology, NHS, or communications consultancy.
Skills in video editing, email platforms (e.g. DotDigital), or intranet launches.
