Overview
The Role: Provide a high standard of food service to hospital patients, staff and patrons of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH). In accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, assist with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.
Responsibilities
* Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of hospital service areas in accordance with relevant codes of practice.
* Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
* Be responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.

* Able to work as part of a team but also as an individual.
* Able to work in a busy environment safely and with a focus on patients' needs at all times.
* Working knowledge for food safety preferable.
* Point of sale experience preferred.
* Espresso coffee making experience preferred.

Details of appointment
Fixed term, casual, shift worker (fully rotational) position working as required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.

Salary
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
