Position Summary
To carry out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc. in order to establish acceptability to specification.
Duties And Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL:
1. Carry out the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection.
2. Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
3. Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required.
4. Ensure NDT equipment function tests are performed according to the procedure and any faulty equipment is detailed back to the supervisor.
5. Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.
6. Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification.
7. Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
8. Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.
9. Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements.
10. When performing profile radiography ensure that a minimum of two exposures at 90 degrees are applied. Detail any limitations in reports with photographic evidence.
11. Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
12. Ensure any areas of high density are communicated to supervision.
13. Undertaking any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management.
14. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
SAFETY:
15. Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
OTHER:
16. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
17. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
18. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
19. Extensive experience in NDT.
20. Valid NDT Qualifications.
21. PCN Level 2 Eddy current Inspection weldments and forgings/wrought products.
22. PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection.
23. PCN Level 2 UT 3.1,3.2.
24. Must have good communication skills.
25. IT literate.
26. Microsoft Word proficient.
27. Microsoft Excel proficient.
28. Valid Driving Licence.
DESIRED:
29. Further NDT qualifications.
