Role Summary
This role is within the West Atlantic UK AOC. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of all flight crew training. The role also includes management of crew qualifications and training records and oversight of the associated systems. The Training Supervisor will provide information directly to the NP Crew Training to support the safe operation of the airline. The role will critically include the management of relationships with 3 rd party training providers and responsibility for some invoice, compliance and safety activities.
Responsibilities
* Plan recurrent and initial training for flight crew in a timely manner to ensure Crew qualification validity is maintained.
* Ensure that planned Crew training complies with procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure training duties are planned in accordance with FTL’s and company scheduling agreements.
* Monitor and maintain records of all crew qualification expiry dates, including management of the PDC Qualification System and EFOS training records system;
* Monitor the accuracy and completeness of training reports;
* Maintain copies of all Crew Licences, Medicals and Passports;
* Liaise with simulator and other training providers to facilitate the company’s training requirements;
* Ensure timely reconciling of invoices for training services received and used.
* Assist with projects and other duties as required by the training department.
* Suggest and identify ways to improve departmental procedures and airline safety.
* Conduct compliance and safety investigations as requested;
* Adhoc support with wider Crew Planning duties as requested;
Academic/Educational Requirements
* Educated to ‘GCSE’ level or equivalent
Required Skills/Experience/knowledge:
* Experience with PDC Crew airline rostering software is essential
* Experience of dealing with external suppliers and agencies.
* Excellent IT skills specifically Microsoft Office including Excel.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Possess professional, friendly and customer-focused personality.
* Proven Planning & Organisation and problem-solving skills able to apply these in a time and safety critical environment.
* Effective interpersonal skills; adaptable to all levels of the organization.
* Able to work independently, taking the initiative and with little supervision.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Attention to detail & quality minded.
Desirable Skills/Experience/knowledge:
* Experience of an airline training environment.
* Experience in an airline crewing environment is highly desirable.
* Understanding of Air Crew Training requirements
* Knowledge of UK CAA Flight Time Limitations (FTL’s)
