A vibrant and inclusive Ofsted-rated 'GOOD' secondary school located in Swindon is excited to announce the opportunity for a dedicated and innovative Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team from September 2024. This is a full-time, permanent position aimed at individuals passionate about making a significant difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the SENCO and classroom teachers.
*Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom, facilitating their physical, academic, and emotional development.
*Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
*Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
*Encourage student participation in activities in accordance with the school’s curriculum.
*Assist with the monitoring of students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
*Manage any necessary paperwork and administrative tasks related to student support.
Requirements:
*NVQ Level 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications is essential.
*Experience working with children or young adults, particularly those with SEN (Special Educational Needs), is highly desirable.
*Strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with students, parents, and staff.
*Ability to work independently and flexibly as part of a diverse team.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
