We are in need of proactive Team Leader who’s dynamic qualities will be key to strengthening engagement and ensuring service users actively shape our Havering services. Collaborating closely with leadership, staff, and service users, you will be supporting service to achieve the best standard of care as well as helping us to increase accessibility to services and help support as many people in their recovery journeys as possible.
You will lead on our Recovery Hub oveseeing the Building Recovery in Communities (BRiC) programme and the Volunteer Counselling Service, ensuring both align with CGL’s values and clinical governance framework

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week,
Full Time Salary Range: £35,220.59 - £37,184.91 dependent on experience (based on full time working hours pro rata for part time)
Allowance: 2195.27 Outer London Weighting, pro rata
Contract Type: FIxed Term until 31st of March 2027
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the Role:
1. Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
2. Leading, developing, and supporting a diverse team of Recovery Workers, Peer Mentors, Volunteers, and Volunteer Counsellors.
3. Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing the harm caused by opiate use, either through group sessions or one-on-one engagement.
4. Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused detoxification plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.
5. Collaborate with other organisations and the community to enhance the recovery resources available to service users by referring them to mutual aid groups and other networks.
6. Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community.
7. Serve as a voice for service users in accessing partnership services.
8. Work closely with service users to facilitate their social (re)integration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purpose-driven lives. This includes promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
9. Ensuring the effective coordination, supervision, and quality assurance of the volunteer counselling programme.

About You:
11. Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by opiate use.
12. Excel in both verbal and written communication, with proficient IT skills.
13. Demonstrate proactive qualities, working independently with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
14. Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
15. Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
16. Exhibit the ability to navigate change effectively, always prioritising the needs of service users.
17. Recognise the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to all necessary safeguards.
