£36,363 - £39,862 per year (Grade 8) / £40,777 - £45,091 per year (Grade 9). Grade 8 is for newly qualified. We currently have a vacancy for a 5-day full time and permanent Social Worker within the Community Learning Disability Team.
Candidates should have a recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales.
The role involves managing a busy and varied caseload, completing assessments and care and support plans, CHC applications and Court of Protection applications.
Occasionally there will be a need to organise non-criminal investigations for Adults at Risk.
You will need to be able to work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Community Learning Disability Team, who strive to deliver the best possible service to people and promote their wellbeing. The role involves working with service users, parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for all.
Applicants will need to have skills in assessment of need and risk management and be able to effectively communicate with adults with learning disabilities, carers and providers of care services. Experience of working with individuals who have a learning disability would be preferred, although not essential, as long as the professional skills attained are transferable.
You will be working in a dynamic team who regularly work with some challenging and difficult situations. We expect that all staff will support each other through these times to obtain positive outcomes for all involved.
