We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who is seeking to join a small team in a Brunch restaurant which opened in 2021 in the centre of Edinburgh
We are a growing business, focusing on fresh ingredients and pushing creative boundaries in the brunch scene with paying special attention to trends and providing great service and delicious food.
Since opening in May 2021, the business has gone from strength to strength and has become a brunch staple in the Edinburgh breakfast/ lunch scene. Everyone works extremely hard towards the shared goal.
We have two canalside locations in Amsterdam, the business itself is established and has been running since 1988. Jen our Director worked for the company for 10 years and decided to move back home to Scotland in 2020 alone to open Greenwoods Edinburgh along with the owners of the Amsterdam locations.
We are seeking someone who has a minimum of 5 years FOH experience. Energetic, friendly, not afraid of hard work, clean, organised, a foodie and efficient The ability to run successful shifts independently is essential. At Greenwoods, we really pay attention to the small details in everything we do. Taking pride in our work in every step of the customer experience. High standards for the restaurant environment are key values we require from every team member.
Barista skills are neccessary as everyone in FOH has to be able to do everything from welcoming guests, using our Open Table system to working on the bar. We are a small team so a skill in multi tasking is essential. We are seeking someone who can assist Kirsty our restaurant manager and shift supervisors in taking care of the daily runnings of the restaurant which include managing shifts and keeping the staff motivated in working towards our targets. Most of our drinks items are homemade, we are looking for someone who is organised and can help assist and lead when on shift in planning ahead with prep and orders so that all menu items are available each day. When Kirsty is absent, it will be your responsibility to make sure each day runs smoothly and to communicate with Jen if required as well attending management meetings a couple of times a month with Kirsty and the head chef who you will also be expected to work closely together with. Along with Kirsty, it will be your job to make sure everyone stays on top of cleanliness and that the restaurant remains clean and running efficiently 7 days a week.
The hours include a 4-5 day working week from 7am – 5pm, and must be available Mon- Sun. Benefits include, full month schedule being completed almost 1 month in advance. A 12.5% Service charge on top of salary shared equally amongst staff included on pay check monthly, and cash tips shared out fortnightly.
