Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join us as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workers, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards are met. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations by ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Our operations consist of three main components: First mile (product housed and ready for order), Middle mile (transporting orders to your area), and Last mile (delivering to the customer’s door). While workflows may vary slightly, our vision and dedication to the customer remain constant.
We launch new operations sites annually, providing opportunities for professional growth. Hiring for Area Managers depends on location preferences and current openings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
* Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery commitments
* Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources teams to meet business objectives
* Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
* Stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
* Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures, including outside loading areas
* Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable)
Minimum Requirements:
* 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
* Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
* Ability to push and pull loaded wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds
* 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
