Our client is providing Avionics/Electronical modification and technical solutions to both civil and military aircraft.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of military certification processes and have experience acting as a Certification, Validation Engineer (or similar).
Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with minimum of 2 days per week on site, the rest can be done remotely.
The Key Responsibilities of an Avionics/Electrical Design Engineer (Aerospace):
* Act as the Avionic Certification Validation Engineer (CVE) for a selection of avionics modifications including power, communications, defensive aids and other systems.
* Support the Engineering Manager in the preparation of design reviews.
* Take ownership of aircraft modification packages throughout the entire design lifecycle.
* Customer liaison to develop customer concepts and documentation of requirements.
* Liaison with OEM to gather detailed understanding and suitable documentation to facilitate detailed installation/ integration design and test.
* Analyse systems design issues, determination of actions and solutions.
* Manage the development of modifications to the aircraft by planning and administration of the Modification Design Processes.
* Produce test documentation and other analyses/ reports.
Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Avionics/Electrical Design Engineer (Aerospace) role, however you will not be expected to have everything:
* Design, integration and certification of aircraft avionic and electronic systems at a senior level in either a civil or military environment up to a CVE standard.
* Understanding and experience of the Systems Engineering life cycle.
* Wide knowledge of current avionic and military sensors and systems (or similar)
* Knowledge of aircraft power generation and distribution systems would be beneficial.
* Experience in the support of production organisations from within a design organisation.
* Knowledge of civil and military modification and certification processes.
* Knowledge of current military certification requirements.
