Hayward hawk delighted to be working in partnership with leading Antrim based Manufacturing business seeking a commercially focused and detail-oriented Management Accountant. The successful candidate will join a fast paced manufacturing environment and will play a key role in providing insightful financial analysis, supporting operational decision-making, and driving improvements in cost control and reporting accuracy. The Role Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary Maintain and develop costing models, standard costs, and inventory valuations Monitor and report on manufacturing performance KPIs (e.g., material yield, labour efficiency, overhead absorption) Support the budgeting and forecasting process across departments Partner with production and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls Assist with external audit preparation and statutory reporting Monitor cash flow forecasts and support working capital management Contribute to systems improvements and automation initiatives within finance and manufacturing reporting Liaise with procurement and supply chain teams to optimise cost visibility and inventory planning The Person Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) At least 25 years experience in a management accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting Strong working knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and stock/inventory control Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Oracle, or similar) Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Commercial awareness with a proactive and solutions-driven approach Contact Gemma Murphy for more information!
