Project Manager (Airspace Modernisation Project Delivery Specialist )
SALARY: Upto £55,000 depending on experience
Contract Type: 12 Month FTC
Security Level Required: BPSS
Location: Gatwick / Hybrid
Visa Restrictions: This position does not (currently) offer visa sponsorship

The Role
As the Airspace Modernisation Project Delivery Specialist, you will be play a key role in coordinating the successful delivery of a number of key high-profile projects within the Airspace Modernisation Delivery Team. You will bring project management discipline to ensure that projects are delivered to time, quality and cost. This includes providing effective planning, project governance, risk, issue, and dependency management, whilst also working within the organisation’s standard+ governance and processes. This is a hands-on position which will rely on the role holder having excellent communications skills to enable effective and regular engagement with stakeholders.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of managing business projects throughout the whole lifecycle, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Ideally, with experience of working in a regulatory and or policy development setting.
Other skills and experience include:
* Creating and managing project plans.
* Proven experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders up to Senior Manager level across the organisation and externally.
* Confidently communicate with colleagues at all levels.
* Able to confidently manage budgets, controlling costs, and handling contracts.
* Work as part of a team, offering positive contribution and is focused on achieving results.
* Confidently make key decisions and able to influence amd negotiate to allow for effective decision making.
* Confidently present in various formats to all levels.
* Demonstrate resilience and is solutions focused .
* Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Visio.
* Have worked with change programmes and project portfolios.
* Knowledge or understanding of the Aviation Industry, CAA business, and its regulatory environment.
* Some experience in procurement.
* Have experienced in commercial and contract management, including negotiating changes and making procurement decisions.
* Formal Project Management qualifications such as APM, Prince 2, MSP or Agile.
Additional Information
For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
BPSS - To be vetted you must have the right to work in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken.

Relocation & Property
The CAA will be relocating from Aviation House (Our Gatwick Office) to new premises in a few years’ time. Our move is driven by strategic, operational and environmental considerations. We will be moving to a new local home, up to a 15-mile radius of Aviation House, to minimise disruption for our valued colleagues and customers. We are now working with colleagues and visitors to understand what we need in our new office, before we start our property search. We will sell Aviation House and land, vacate the site and move to new premises, but we do not expect to move before 2028
