Overview
Coleg Cambria is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our Deeside campus, ensuring the safety of students, staff, visitors and assets. The role involves maintaining a visible, proactive security presence through regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, and controlling access points. The successful candidate will respond to emergencies and incidents, prevent unauthorised entry and deter criminal activity, while upholding a safe and secure environment through effective conflict management and incident reporting.

Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough patrols of campus grounds, manage entry and exit points, and assist in emergency situations such as fires or medical incidents.
* Operate CCTV systems, handle security-related investigations, and ensure compliance with campus policies, addressing issues such as misbehaviour, substance use, and unauthorised access.
* Provide first aid when necessary and coordinate emergency evacuations with relevant authorities.
* Travel between Coleg Cambria sites and participate in professional development activities.
Essential Requirements
* SIA Personal Licence
* First Aid Training
* Experience in a security role, preferably within an educational or similar institutional setting
* Effective problem-solving skills to assess situations and determine appropriate action
Welsh skills are essential for this post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.
