Description Salary: £108,312 - £125,565 per annum Grade SM3 Permanent Contract 37 Hours per Week We are looking for a Chief Operations Lead within the Place Directorate. This role is intended to provide cohesive leadership for a range of high-profile functions for the Council. These services include waste management, street cleansing, grounds maintenance, recreation and leisure, network management, highway maintenance, fleet management, flood risk transportation services, corporate property, and facilities management. This key leadership role involves setting direction in Thurrock’s growth and place interest, overseeing the delivery of key strategic frameworks to drive continuous improvement and development of the services. Ensuring statutory obligations are adhered to, and budgets achieve value for money, this role requires experience in the integration of services to deliver best value and positive outcomes for the wider Thurrock community. Our teams are going through different stages of growth, and we are looking for an adaptable leader with the ability to bring teams together whilst being clear on priorities at a time of positive change and growth. Your leadership skills should be your main attribute, with the ability to build teams which are inclusive for everyone.
