Location: Liverpool Salary: Up to £55,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance
A leading house builder is looking for a Buyer to join their team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a professional and efficient material scheduling and purchasing function for the north-west region.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide material budgets for new site starts.
Place bulk and ad-hoc material orders.
Resolve supplier issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Produce accurate material take-offs and schedules.
Maintain a database of material schedules and costs.
Procure materials and place orders in line with company procedures.
Contribute to enhancing regional profits by tracking material costs.
Prepare and contribute to cost reports.
Build and maintain excellent supplier relationships.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a construction-related qualification (ONC/HNC).
Is working towards a professional procurement qualification.
Has a flexible and agile approach.
Is skilled in relationship building and stakeholder engagement.
Is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and solutions-focused.
Has an excellent level of numeracy and communication skills.
Is computer literate in MS Office.
Can read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Has a proven track record in a similar role.
