I am working with a fantastic US law firm in the City, and they are looking for a Legal Secretary to work within their corporate team. This role will support a partner and the team. The firm offers excellent benefits, and the position is for 15 months. The salary ranges between £50,000-£55,000 (depending on experience). Initially, it is office-based for the first six months, after which they offer a flexible arrangement of four days in the office and one day from home.
Duties include:
1. Document management, comparison, formatting, and applying house styles
2. Fixing corrupt documents, incorporating amendments, and handling general correspondence
3. Preparation of execution documents, reports, and presentations
4. Travel planning and itineraries
5. Pro-active diary management, meeting scheduling, and agenda preparation
6. Liaison with clients
7. Arranging restaurant bookings
8. Business development events
9. Time management for legal staff
10. Personal ad hoc work as required
11. Administrative support, including:
1. Managing compliance processes
2. Assisting with billing
3. Updating Interaction
4. Expenses and invoice processing
5. Copying, archiving, e-filing, and filing
6. Assisting team secretaries as needed
7. Project coordination and ad hoc project work
Experience and Skills:
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English at Grade C, and CILEX Level 3
* Confidentiality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent IT skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Intapp Time, Intapp Business Acceptance, Chrome River, EMS, and Interaction (helpful but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong organizational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Flexibility to work extended hours when required (overtime payable)
