Interim Group Financial Controller (PLC Experience Essential)
Location: Crawley / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
Duration: 3-6 months (potential extension)
Day Rate: £600–£700
We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller to support the business through a period of transformation, reporting, and year-end activity. This is a critical role requiring a hands-on leader with extensive PLC experience and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, complex group environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all aspects of group financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation.
* Ensure robust compliance with IFRS, PLC regulatory requirements and governance standards.
* Oversee the preparation of Board packs, statutory accounts and audit deliverables.
* Strengthen financial controls, processes and group accounting policies.
* Partner with senior leadership to provide clear financial insight, challenge, and support.
* Manage and mentor the finance team during a period of change and increased demand.
Key Requirements
* Proven PLC experience – essential.
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical expertise.
* Extensive background in group consolidations, IFRS reporting and audit management.
* Ability to operate in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
* Prior interim experience preferred but not essential.
