What You Will Enjoy Doing
* As Business Manager Helium, you will champion business growth for Helium. With full P&L ownership you devise and execute forward-thinking strategies to drive sustainable sales, profit, and market expansion across all channels
* You will inspire team excellence by leading with clarity, ensuring team members are aligned with strategy, business objectives, and individual responsibilities, fostering a high-performing and ambitious culture
* The ability to forge strategic partnerships is critical to the success of this role. You will build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and channel partners at a senior leadership level while maintaining seamless collaboration with Linde Global Helium to ensure reliable supply and long-term profitability
* You will optimize profitability of the UK Helium business by implementing strategic pricing models and cost management systems, collaborating with Operations to reduce inefficiencies and maximizing the utilization of Helium assets to improve operational and financial performance
* You will lead with resilience. This role calls for an individual who can overcome business challenges with robust strategies and navigate transitions effectively to ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction in dynamic, volatile, and uncertain environments
What Makes You Great
* A Bachelors Degree or equivalent is essential for this role
* You will have a minimum of 7 years sales leadership experience, with advanced negotiation skills, strong financial acumen and a track record of engaging at Director or MD level with customers
* Commercial experience in the Industrial Gases and/or Special Gases sector would be a distinct advantage for this role
* You will have experience of directly managing teams of 2 or more, ideally matrix management and managing projects with multiple stakeholders
* A proven ability to lead, inspire and develop teams to foster a high-performing and ambitious culture is essential for this role
* You will be experienced in leading change, navigating transitions effectively in dynamic, volatile, and uncertain environments
* This role requires strong decision-making capability, innovative problem-solving skills with a focus on creative solutions, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* You have experience of working in an inclusive workplace and act as a role model for the behaviours aligned to this
