Get Golfing CIO is a pioneering charity that exists to support struggling golf facilities and make golf more inclusive, accessible, and community-focused. We manage a growing number of golf courses across the UK and reinvest in our venues, people, and communities to ensure the long-term health of the game.
We are now looking for a Deputy Course Manager to join our talented team at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club, supporting the Course Manager in delivering an exceptional playing experience for our members and guests.

Role Purpose
As Deputy Course Manager, you’ll play a key role in the daily maintenance and improvement of our course. You'll work hands-on with the greenkeeping team while assisting in planning and supervising operations, ensuring we continue to uphold the highest standards in course conditioning and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
* Support the Course Manager in all aspects of course maintenance, team leadership, and project planning
* Lead the greenkeeping team in the absence of the Course Manager
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
* Participate in agronomic planning, irrigation management, and machinery maintenance
* Monitor course quality and implement best practices to improve playability and sustainability
* Assist with staff training and development
* Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (Level 3 desirable)
* PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates
* At least 3 years experience in a senior position
* Experience operating a wide range of turf machinery
* Strong understanding of modern greenkeeping practices and course setup
* Proven leadership or supervisory experience
* Passionate about golf course presentation and sustainability
* Full UK driving licence
