Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements: We require strong Cisco Catalyst switching experience, including hands-on support of Catalyst 3850, 9300 and/or 9500 platforms. We require experience working in a Network Operations Centre (NOC), TAC or similar 24x7 operational support environment. We require strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking capability. We require troubleshooting experience across OSPF, BGP, VLAN, STP and QoS. We require experience with network monitoring and incident management. We require excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. We require strong communication skills and the ability to manage shift handovers effectively. We require the ability to work within shift rotations, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. We prefer candidates with CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification. We prefer experience in telecoms, service provider or enterprise-scale network environments. We prefer exposure to high-availability or mission-critical infrastructure. We prefer experience in network performance optimisation. Responsibilities: We provide 24x7 operational network support within a high-availability environment. We configure, manage and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst network infrastructure. We monitor network performance and respond proactively to incidents. We support fault isolation, escalation and service restoration activities. We act as the primary technical escalation point during shift coverage. We diagnose Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking faults across LAN/WAN infrastructure. We support routing and switching environments including OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP and QoS. We escalate complex incidents efficiently while maintaining clear stakeholder communication. We complete accurate shift handovers and operational reporting. We maintain network diagrams, configuration backups and operational documentation. We support continuous improvement and operational optimisation initiatives.
