GALENT are recruiting for a Project Accountant opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong project accounting, management accounting or commercial finance experience. They will accept UK wide applications and offer weekday accomodation.

Our client is a rapidly growing renewable energy platform that develops, builds, owns and operates biomethane infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking a commercially focused Project Accountant to support a portfolio of major capital projects.
This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from development and construction through to long-term operation, within one of the UK’s most attractive renewable energy sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing weekly and monthly project financial reportsSupporting project accounting, cost control and capital expenditure reportingProducing management accounts, budgets and forecastsMonitoring project costs and analysing financial performanceSupporting asset accounting and inventory controlsPreparing cashflow reporting and management informationPartnering with project managers, engineers and operational teamsSupporting year-end reporting, audits and statutory compliance activitiesProducing dashboards and financial reporting for key stakeholdersThe ideal Project Accountant will possess the following attributes and experience:
Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent experienceExperience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy or renewable sectors • Strong project accounting and management accounting experienceExperience supporting long-term capital projectsAdvanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilityExperience working with ERP systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsCommercially minded with strong attention to detailThis is an excellent opportunity for a Project Accountant to join a rapidly expanding renewable energy business offering exposure to major infrastructure developments, strong career progression and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, engineering and project delivery teams.
