Position Details
4 day working week (Mon–Thurs). 3 days on site and 1 day working from home.
£53.90 per hour (Umbrella Rate – Inside IR35). 12‑month contract.
Location: Glascoed, Monmouthshire.
Role Responsibilities
* Produce documentary evidence to support the production of a Safety and Environmental Case (SEC).
* Create and maintain product Hazard Logs.
* Contribute to the business requirement to deliver conforming product.
* Undertake safety reviews of engineering designs to ensure compliance with the Product Safety and Environment Management Framework, business policies, procedures and associated management plans.
* Provide support and advice to the Design Organisation on matters relating to product safety for projects and bids.
* Undertake a range of techniques for conducting Hazard Identification, Analysis and Risk Assessment, for example FMEAs, FTAs.
Candidate Qualifications
* Deriving and setting safety criteria and requirements using UK MOD defence standards such as: Def Stan 00‑056, Def Stan 00‑51, Def Stan 07‑085 or DSA 03.OME (formerly JSP 520).
* Proven track record of producing technical engineering reports including compelling ALARP and safety arguments.
