Temporary Facilities Operative / Caretaker About us: Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. The role: The Facilities Operative will carry out general maintenance and temporary repairs to property, fixtures and fittings and to ensure the security of the premises, together with its contents. You will be expected to work flexibly across all of the College campuses and with working shift patterns. The Facilities Operative will be required to attend in cases of emergency call-outs e.g. flood, fire, intruders and take such action as required (e.g. marshalling etc). £13.72 - £14.94 per hour Across all campuses (Tycoch, Gorseinon, Sketty Hall, Jubilee Court, Kingsway and Llwyn y Bryn) 15 hours per week The shift pattern will include evenings, weekends and shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 10:00pm You will also be required to participate in the on-call rota, please note you will receive additional remuneration to be on stand-by and for call-outs. You will be paid a month in arrears e.g. any hours that you work in May, will be paid in June, and so forth.
