Facilities Manager – Lead, Improve, and Elevate Our Facilities Function

Salary: Up to £52,000 + excellent bens.
We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused Facilities Manager to take ownership of site infrastructure, facilities operations, and team leadership across a large industrial environment.
You’ll ensure the site remains safe, compliant, efficient, and fully aligned with strategic business objectives. This is a role for someone who enjoys driving operational excellence, managing stakeholders, and leading a high-performing team.
What you’ll be responsible for - Facilities Manager
* Ensuring the site, infrastructure, and buildings are maintained to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel
* Ensuring compliance with all corporate and legislative regulations, including health & safety requirements
* Overseeing all building functions — ensuring seamless functionality of services, utilities, and facilities
* Managing building projects and renovations: installations, refurbishments, upgrades, and new builds
* Responding swiftly to emergencies or urgent issues and coordinating the resolution
* Managing performance of both in-house teams and service partners against SLAs
* Leading, developing, and motivating team members to deliver high standards of performance
* Building and managing relationships with stakeholders and internal customers
* Developing strategies to improve efficiency, optimise service delivery, and reduce costs
* Leading change initiatives while minimising disruption to core operations
What you’ll bring - Facilities Manager
Essential Qualifications:
* HNC or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Modern apprenticeship advantageous but not essential
Desirable Qualifications:
* IOSH
* Green or Black Belt certification (Lean / Six Sigma)
️ Experience we’re looking for - Facilities Manager
Essential:
* Proven Facilities Management experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Experience using CAFM systems
* Experience managing both hard and soft FM service providers
Desirable:
* Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, RCA)
* Understanding of building processes and construction principles
* Knowledge of compliance and relevant legislation
