We’re looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our expanding engineering team, dedicated to developing and validating next-generation electronic systems for space applications.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the testing and verification of complex PCB assemblies, semiconductor devices, and embedded systems—ensuring high performance and reliability from early prototype through to final production.
This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in electronics, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a passion for precision testing in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Responsibilities:
* Design and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for PCBs, semiconductors, and other electronic components
* Perform diagnostics at the component and board level using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other lab instrumentation
* Develop test scripts and control test equipment using VISA API and C++
* Analyse test data, identify trends, and compile detailed reports with recommendations
* Work closely with hardware, software, and design teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance test coverage
* Carry out precision soldering and rework on both SMT and through-hole boards
* Support continuous improvement in test processes and documentation
Experience:
* Educated to degree level in Electronic Engineering or a related field
* Strong background in PCB design, schematics, layout interpretation, and hardware validation
* Hands-on experience with semiconductor testing, failure analysis, and component behaviour
* Proficient in instrument control and automation (C++)
* Comfortable with analysing large datasets and delivering concise insights
* Skilled in fine-pitch soldering and board-level rework
* Familiar with standard test lab equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analysers)
