CNC Service Engineer - Woodcutting Machinery
UK-wide travel | £40,000-£45,000 + company vehicle
We are working in partnership with a leading provider of CNC woodcutting and woodworking machinery to recruit an experienced CNC Service Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business that supports customers across the joinery, furniture, and timber processing sectors.
The Role:
As a CNC Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of advanced CNC woodcutting machinery at customer sites across the UK. You will provide first-class technical support, ensuring minimal downtime and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation, commissioning and servicing of CNC woodcutting equipment.
* Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical and software faults.
* Carrying out preventative maintenance to maximise machine performance and reliability.
* Providing technical support and training to customers.
* Producing service reports and maintaining accurate records.
* Representing the company professionally on-site at all times.
About You:
* Proven experience working with CNC machinery, ideally within woodworking or timber processing.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
* Knowledge of PLC systems and control panels is highly desirable.
* Comfortable with UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays.
* A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
