About the role
We are seeking experienced Butchers to manage our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This role involves working with customers to grow their business, understanding local markets, and delivering excellent service.
This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery without financial risk. Candidates should have good product knowledge of all meat types, be self-motivated, and eager to succeed.
Your responsibilities include
Maintaining high standards across all areas: stock management, food safety procedures, fresh and pre-packed meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborating with the Store Manager to develop a business plan aimed at increasing sales and profitability.
Greeting customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful service with a smile.
Managing stock levels, including ordering and stocktaking.
Leading a small team, including creating staff rotas.
Cutting meat to order.
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
Coordinating deliveries or order pickups.
Controlling waste.
