The Medical Gases Account Manager provides effective sales growth and contract performance by providing customers with products and services as outlined in contracts or engagement terms. They maintain high customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and achieve sales targets across a broad market portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out customer-facing commercial and contract activities in MedGas
2. Direct sales to Proximity and NHS customer base
3. Managing contract performance, including review meetings with NHS stakeholders
4. Handling customer complaints and resolutions
5. Conducting annual cylinder audits and recovering lost cylinder charges
6. Developing and delivering training to NHS clinical and technical staff
7. Managing activity and time planning aligned with meetings and contract objectives
8. Conducting contract performance reviews and ensuring compliance
9. Maintaining and developing Salesforce CRM database
10. Recording meeting minutes and actions
11. Preparing change requests and reports
12. Establishing NHS User groups to promote best practices
Sales Responsibilities:
1. Collaborating with sales teams to convert leads into sales
2. Identifying opportunities for new products and services
3. Promoting medical gases, MedLOX bulk supply, special and industrial gases, handling & storage equipment, and new offerings
4. Supporting training services
Customer Health & Safety:
1. Delivering training programs
2. Ensuring safe storage, handling, and use of medical gases
3. Conducting risk assessments
4. Providing guidance on managing product-related risks
People and Communication:
1. Keeping management informed and implementing key projects
2. Engaging with MedGas personnel for effective communication
3. Liaising with site personnel and acting as a company ambassador
Compliance:
1. Working with H&S, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure system compliance
2. Following systems for alerting deviations in safety, quality, and regulations
Candidate Match:
* Experience in account management or field sales
* Technical and professional knowledge/skills
* Effective communication and administrative skills
* Beneficial but not essential: medical background, package gas knowledge
* Customer-oriented, service-driven, and sales skills
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
