Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
Let us introduce you to Liam:
Liam is a young boy who lives at home with Mum, Dad and his brother in Kilmarnock. Liam has autism and likes to have routine so activities are decided before support starts. Liam enjoys getting out and about to be involved in activities and days out. Liam enjoys going bowling, swimming and visiting the beach when it is a nice day. Liam still attends school which he enjoys a lot. Liam is looking for someone who can bring new ideas to his days out and someone who is active. We support Lewis on a Wednesday 3:30pm-6:30pm and Saturday 9am-2pm. There is a use for your own car when working with Liam.
Let us introduce you to Shannon:
Shannon is a young lady who lives at home with her Mum and her Step-Dad in Catrine. Shannon spends her day out and about where she enjoys going to the cinema, bowling and on nicer days Shannon enjoys going to local parks in Kilmarnock such as Kaypark, The Howard park or Dean park.. Shannon is keen on trying new ideas and joining new clubs that she can attend and take part in. Shannon's mum currently helps with the morning routine but we would like staff to take this over when we have a full team in place for Shannon. Shannon uses her wheelchair when outside to keep her mobile but may decide at times she wants to walk for a while so should be given opportunities to do this. We support Shannon Monday-Friday 10am-5pm. There is use for your own car when working with Shannon.
That is why Liam and Shannon needs you! Will you bring your best so that Liam and Shannon can live his best life?
