Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll join a highly skilled international team supporting advanced machine tool installations, servicing, and repairs across the UK and worldwide. Job Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, service, and repair of high-precision CNC and machine tooling systems
* Travel across the UK and internationally to support civil and military aviation clients
* Manage end-to-end service visits — from arranging travel logistics to completing on-site diagnostics, repair, and customer reporting
* Conduct electrical fault finding, calibration, and system testing to ensure optimal machine performance
* Provide exceptional customer support and technical guidance, representing the business with professionalism and integrity
* Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve complex engineering challenges and share best practices
Skills and Experience
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Strong background in electrical service and maintenance of CNC or precision machinery
* Proven experience in a field service role, ideally within industrial or aerospace environments
* Sound understanding of control systems, electrical schematics, and machine diagnostics
* Excellent communication and customer service skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Comfortable with international travel — typically pre-planned and supported with full company arrangements
Pay and Benefits
Salary: £45,618.59 per annum
OTE: £65,000+ (including travel time and bonuses)
Hours: 37-hour week, all hours paid from leaving home to returning home (including flights)
Travel Bonus: Additional pay for assignments exceeding 21 consecutive days
