About the Role
We have an Accountant vacancy within our Place and Resources and Transformation team to build on our success and bring new experience, knowledge, and ideas into the team.
As an Accountant, you will support financial operations within our local authority, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will include budgeting, financial planning, and reporting, contributing to resource management and service delivery. You will also support the implementation of a new finance and procurement system, acting as the subject matter expert for corporate finance, including budgeting, GL structures, treasury management, and other financial operations. Your expertise will facilitate a smooth transition and improve financial management across the organization.
About You
If you have a proven track record of delivering solutions, are eager to make a difference, and want to be part of a strong team culture, we would like to hear from you. We seek enthusiastic individuals capable of working collaboratively, delivering results, and supporting the wider finance team. You should be proactive, dynamic, motivated, and able to meet strict deadlines. Significant experience in business partnering across finance and non-finance teams, preparing budgets and forecasts, and strong communication skills are essential. The ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the implementation of a new finance and procurement system is also required.
