Perch Group is searching for a Senior Decision Science Analyst.

The Role
We are looking for a decision scientist to design and optimize data-driven solutions supporting machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. You will collaborate with analysts and the investment team to create scalable data models for AI-driven decision-making.

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + up to 20% bonus.
Location: Manchester Spinningfields office with hybrid options; occasional travel to Blackpool, Manchester, and Skipton.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the senior data modeller in creating and improving models based on historic trends, including XGBoost, Random Forest, and MCMC models.
* Create analyses and support the pricing team to automate and improve analysis accuracy.
* Promote ethical AI practices within the business.
The Person
* Experience with machine learning on real data.
* Desirable: experience with random forests, XGBoost, or Monte Carlo methods.
* Proficiency in Python; other languages like R or Java are acceptable with the ability to learn Python.
* Understanding of data ethics and responsible AI.
* Problem-solving passion.
* Interview process: a 15-minute video call with the recruitment team and a 45-60 minute interview with the hiring manager.
