Job Title: Class 2 Driver (Freight Forwarding)
Location: Loughborough
Position Type: Temp (4-week trial) – Potential Temp to Perm
Start Date: Monday – 5:00 AM
We are a recruitment agency currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client, a well-established freight forwarding company based in Loughborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for consistent work with the potential to secure a permanent role.
The Role
* Driving an 18-ton curtain-side vehicle
* Monday to Thursday stay-outs (stop-overs required)
* Returning Friday afternoon
* 5:00 AM starts
* Signing delivery paperwork
* Using CX app for job updates
* Operating a pump truck when required
* “Close and go” deliveries
* Handballing not normally required, but may be necessary in rare situations

* Paid while on stay-outs
* Parking allowance provided
* £25 daily food allowance (if parking location does not provide meals)
* 4-week trial period with potential for temp-to-perm
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
* Maximum 3 points on licence
* Valid CPC & Digital Tacho card
* Safety boots required
* DVLA check required
* Professional and reliable attitude
